The Visitor Centre's approach is not just cultural. If the discovering Vézelay, As a World Heritage Site, we need to remind ourselves of our knowledge of history, architecture, art and, in this case, religion, but we are convinced that any true encounter with a work of art begins with emotion. Beauty speaks to our innermost being.
Our primary aim is to facilitate this personal encounter. We offer visitors tools that appeal to their artistic sensibilities, their experience and their active participation.
We think it's essential to open people's eyes and make it easier for them to get to grips with this heritage.
